.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…
A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 4 PM MDT for Yuma, Kit Carson,
Dundy, Cheyenne KS, Sherman and Wallace counties. Relative humidity
values at or below 15 percent are expected along with southwest winds
gusting 25 to 35 mph. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY…
Near critical fire weather conditions remain possible Wednesday
afternoon, primarily south of Interstate 70. This area is expected
to see relative humidity values in the 20 to 30 percent range, edging
more towards 25 to 30 percent. North winds could gust up to 45 mph.
While the relative humidity values are marginal, dry available fuels
and gusty winds are the main concerns for fire weather potential
