This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions will occur through this afternoon in northeast Colorado and west of Highway 27 in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska due to northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph and relative humidity in the lower teens. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY... Light snow will develop Friday morning in northeast Colorado and spread eastward to about Highway 27 in northwest Kansas by the afternoon. Snow amounts will generally be less than one inch. However, there is the possibility that a narrow band of locally heavy snow will develop, primarily in Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties of northeast Colorado. If this happens, local snow amounts of up to 4 inches will be possible in those areas. A brief changeover to all snow will be possible Friday night further east, mainly south of Interstate 70. Additional snow amounts of less than one inch are expected, with snow ending late Friday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
