Patchy frost may occur over eastern Colorado early this morning.
Very dry conditions with relative humidity values less than 15
percent will exist over far eastern Colorado from mid day through
late afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY…
Very dry conditions with relative humidity values less than 15
percent return to far eastern Colorado on Wednesday afternoon.
Below freezing temperatures are expected across much of the forecast
area through the overnight and early morning hours each day
beginning Wednesday night and continuing into the weekend. A hard
freeze is possible for much of the area Thursday night into Friday
morning with record or near record low temperatures possible. A hard
freeze is possible again for much of the area early Saturday
morning.
With precipitation also expected Wednesday night through Friday
morning, it will be possible for light rain to mix with and change
to light snow. Light snowfall is possible mainly late Thursday
though Thursday night. Even with the cold temperatures expected,
confidence is low in seeing much snowfall accumulations due to the
warm soil temperatures. Current forecast snowfall amounts range from
a trace near Hill City and Gove, Kansas to around two and one half
inches between Flagler and Yuma, Colorado.
