This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
A Red Flag Warning is in effect along and west of Highway 27 this
afternoon.
Strong southerly winds are expected across the entire Tri-State area
today. Sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph and gusts ranging from 45 to
55 mph are expected. Locally reduced visibilities associated with
blowing dust will be possible.
A few thunderstorms will be possible in northwest Kansas late this
afternoon, mainly east of Highway 27 between 4 pm and 8 pm MDT. An
isolated severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, if storms develop.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY…
A Red Flag Warning is in effect along and west of Highway 27 Monday
afternoon.
Frost cannot be ruled out across portions of northeast Colorado and
southwest Nebraska during the early morning hours mid to late week.
