Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

Wind gusts of 40-45 MPH, maybe even as high as 50 MPH, will occur
over most of the Tri-State area this afternoon. The highest wind
gusts will occur before 3 PM MDT and be located south of an Idalia
to St. Francis and Atwood line. Blowing dust will be possible with
these winds, especially over bare, loose soil. The winds will
gradually decline during the latter half of the afternoon, with a
rapid decrease in the early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY…

Northwest winds gusting up to 50 MPH may occur for a couple hours or
so along a cold front as it moves through Tuesday evening. These
winds will most likely occur northwest of a Tribune to Colby and
McCook line.
