YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for areas east of a line from Hitchcock county in Nebraska to Thomas county in Kansas and over to Gove county in Kansas. Heat indices will approach or exceed 105 degrees during the afternoon, and could even reach near 108 degrees in some locales.  There is a chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the region. Locally heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding. Wind and hail threats are also possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Showers and thunderstorms are also possible across portions of the area on Sunday and on into Tuesday night. Locally heavy rainfall is possible in association with any slow moving storms.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed later today or tonight.
