This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Near record heat is expected for the Denver metro and rest of the eastern plains today, with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s. Across the high country, monsoon moisture is expected to increase, with scattered thunderstorms forecast during the afternoon hours. Some of these storms may produce briefly heavy rain and could produce burn area flash flooding.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  Chances for rain increase this weekend as better moisture arrives. Heavy rain will be possible late Saturday and into Sunday, with an elevated risk of burn area flash flooding for the Cameron Peak and Calwood burn areas. The pattern will turn warmer and drier next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight but rainfall reports would be greatly appreciated.
