Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

…Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories cover the entire area
today through Wednesday morning…

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight

Widespread snow will develop across the area this morning with
moderate to heavy snow later this morning through the afternoon.
Due to very cold temperatures, roads will become icy and
snowpacked, with hazardous travel conditions, later this morning
through tonight. Expect a difficult evening commute along the I-25
and I-70 Corridors and again Wednesday morning.

Steadier light snow will continue overnight as well with some
moderate snow this evening. Total accumulations will range from 8
to 16 inches in the mountains and foothills with 6 to 12 inches
over portions of the adjacent plains. Mountain valleys will see 4
to 8 inches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday

The storm will be winding down on Wednesday, with a some minor
additional snow accumulations before noon. Dry weather is expected
over all the forecast area Wednesday night well into next week.

Temperatures will remain below seasonal normals through Monday.
They well be well below normal through Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight but
snowfall amounts will be appreciated.
