This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight Cooler today, and largely dry through the afternoon. Light snow forms across the northern foothills and I-25 corridor in the evening and gradually fill in overnight, spreading to all areas. Heaviest snow will impact the lower foothills and immediately adjacent lower elevations, particularly from Boulder County northward. Slick travel conditions can be expected overnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday The bulk of the accumulating snow will taper off Friday morning, but periods of lighter snow and flurries will continue through at least Friday night. Travelers on Friday should be prepared for areas of slick roads and slower travel conditions. Areas of light snow mainly over the higher mountains and from east central into southeast Colorado will end on Saturday. Temperatures will be quite cold through this period, with highs only reaching the 20s both Friday and Saturday. Lows will drop into the single digits in many locations Saturday night, with below zero temperatures expected in the mountains and high mountain valleys. Drier weather and good travel conditions will prevail by Sunday. Those conditions will remain in place through the middle of next week, with a gradual warming trend as well. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
