This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Drier air will move into much of Colorado today resulting in fewer
thunderstorms, especially over the mountains. Low level moisture
behind a weak cold front may help produce scattered thunderstorms
over northeast Colorado this afternoon. A few of these storms
could become strong to severe.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday
Tuesday will be hot with a few isolated storms mainly over the
mountains. A wetter period will begin on Wednesday and last
through Friday as scattered to widespread storms will develop
each afternoon. Heavy rainfall will be the primary threat and a
few severe storms with large hail and strong winds will be
possible as well. The daily chance for storms continues next
weekend with slightly lower coverage of storms than the previous
days.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight, however
reports of heavy rainfall will be appreciated.
