This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Thunderstorms will develop over the mountains and foothills by
early this afternoon and spread east across the urban corridor and
northeast plains the remainder of the afternoon and evening.
These storms will produce heavy rain, dangerous cloud to ground
lightning, strong gusty winds 35 to 50 mph and small hail. Localized
flooding may also occur as storms will be moving slowly. Moisture
levels have increased today with an overall better chance for
thunderstorms over the mountains and plains.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday
Subtropical moisture will remain over Colorado next week bringing
afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. Heavy rainfall will
be the main threat from the storms. However on Monday, a few
severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds will be
possible over northeast Colorado.
