This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwestern
South Dakota…south central South Dakota…southwestern South
Dakota…the Black Hills of South Dakota…and northeast Wyoming.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Strong winds will develop across northeastern Wyoming this morning
and across much of western South Dakota by this evening. Gusts up
to 55 mph will be possible, particularly over northeastern
Wyoming and the western and northwestern South Dakota plains.
These strong winds, combined with low relative humidity values,
will lead to very high fire danger over portions of the
northwestern South Dakota plains and the eastern foothills.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday
Breezy winds will continue through early Sunday before decreasing
from west to east. Strong winds will be possible again on Monday.
