Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 022000Z – 031200Z

Severe thunderstorms are not expected today or tonight.

…20Z Outlook Update…
Deepening cumulus across Florida should evolve into
lightning-producing convection this afternoon and early evening, and
the current outlook address this scenario well. Outside of this
area, thunderstorms are not expected.

.PREV DISCUSSION… /ISSUED 1115 AM CDT Sat Nov 02 2019/

Large-scale upper troughing/cyclonic flow will prevail across the
majority of the CONUS today, with the exception of the West Coast
and Desert Southwest, where influence of an eastern Pacific ridge
will persist.

At the surface, cool/stable air will prevail across most of the
country, though a moist/modestly unstable airmass residing south of
a remnant baroclinic zone over the Florida Peninsula will provide
support for a few showers and perhaps a couple of onshore
thunderstorms. Otherwise, no appreciable thunder risk is evident
elsewhere across the CONUS through Sunday morning.
