Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

Isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to
move into far eastern Colorado around 7 PM MDT then into portions of
the remaining Tri-State area this evening and out of the area
shortly before sunrise Friday morning. Although the entire area is at
risk for severe weather the primary focus will be in Cheyenne county
Kansas, Dundy county Nebraska and Yuma county Colorado where wind
gusts to 65 mph, hail to the size of quarters and locally heavy
rainfall is possible through about 9 PM MDT (10 PM CDT).

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY…

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in far eastern Colorado
late Friday afternoon before moving across the remainder of the area
during the evening and overnight hours. Large hail, damaging winds
and locally heavy rainfall will be the primary threats.
