Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…

Thunderstorms developing along the Colorado Front Range this
afternoon will track east southeast toward the Kansas border this
evening. Storms are expected to approach Yuma and Kit Carson
counties around 6 pm MDT and may not cross the Kansas border until
9 pm MDT this evening.

In eastern Colorado, isolated severe storms capable of producing
dime to quarter size hail, wind gusts up to 65 mph, and torrential
rainfall will be possible between 6 pm and 10 pm MDT.

Although the severe weather potential will rapidly diminish with
eastern extent into Kansas this evening, locally heavy rain will
remain possible through midnight in association with lingering
thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY…

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon and evening.
