.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…
Locally heavy precipitation and strong northerly winds are expected
across portions of the Tri-State area on Sunday as a low pressure
system tracks east across the Southern Plains. Precipitation may
begin as a light wintry mix around or shortly after sunrise Sunday
morning. Precipitation may alternate between rain and wet snow late
Sunday morning through early Sunday afternoon, transitioning to all
snow from west to east late Sunday afternoon and evening. A period of
strong easterly to northeasterly winds will be possible during the
late afternoon and evening hours. Considerable uncertainty persists
with regard to precipitation type and amounts. Regardless, hazardous
travel conditions are anticipated to be the primary impact, mainly
along and south of Interstate 70.
