This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
Patchy morning fog could limit visibility to a half mile or less for
locations generally along and west of a line from Leoti to Goodland
to Benkelman.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop across
eastern Colorado during the middle and late afternoon hours. These
storms will then move across the remainder of the area into the
overnight hours. Some storms could become severe with large hail,
damaging winds, and even an isolated tornado. The large hail and
tornado threat will be highest along and west of Highway 27.
A higher than normal threat for heavy rainfall is expected during
this time across the entire area. The area that will have the
greatest risk for heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding
will be along and west of the Colorado border.
