Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 5 PM MST today for
Sherman, Rawlins, Sheridan, Thomas, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley and
Wichita counties in Northwest Kansas, and Yuma, Cheyenne and Kit
Carson counties in Eastern Colorado as well as Dundy county in
southwest Nebraska. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday evening for areas along and north of Interstate 70.

A period of freezing drizzle is possible Monday morning north of the
Interstate before accumulating snowfall begins.

Snow is expected Monday through Tuesday evening. Accumulations
ranging from 1 to 4 inches will be possible, highest along and north
of Interstate 70. Below zero wind chill readings are anticipated
Monday night through Wednesday morning, coldest in eastern Colorado.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed, but reports of snowfall will
be greatly appreciated.
