Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

Rawlins and Sheridan counties in Kansas and Dundy county in Nebraska
have been added to the ongoing Red Flag Warning.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 AM MST through 5 PM MST
today for Sherman, Thomas, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley and Wichita
counties in Northwest Kansas, and Yuma, Cheyenne and Kit Carson
counties in Eastern Colorado. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged
today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…

An abrupt transition to colder temperatures will occur tonight into
Monday.

A period of freezing drizzle cannot be ruled out along and north of
Interstate 70 Monday morning, mainly between sunrise and noon.
Confidence is low with regard to whether or not precipitation will
develop Monday morning.

Snow is expected across the majority of the Tri-State area
Monday evening through Tuesday morning. Accumulations ranging from 1
to 5 inches will be possible, highest along and north of Interstate
70. Below zero wind chill readings are anticipated Monday night
through Wednesday morning, coldest in eastern Colorado.
