YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Strong to severe storms will move in from the west after 4 PM MDT, primarily for locations west of a Stratton, NE to Oakley and Tribune, KS line. Wind gusts up to 70 mph is the primary hazard. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for counties along and west of a Stratton, NE to Oakley, KS line through 11 PM MDT or 12 AM CDT. These thunderstorms may injure anyone outdoors and may damage siding and crops.   .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Heat index up to 105 degrees are forecast Tuesday east of a McCook, NE to Gove, KS line, with minimal cooling Monday night. These temperatures put additional stress on the body, especially the young and elderly.  Near daily chances for at least isolated strong to severe storms through the majority of the upcoming week.
