YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for Red Willow, Decatur, and Norton counties this morning. Visibility may drop to a quarter mile or less at times and lead to hazardous driving conditions.  A Heat Advisory is in effect for Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska starting this afternoon. Temperatures above 100 degrees and heat index values in the mid 100s are forecast during the afternoon hours. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Livestock may be stressed as well due to multiple days of triple digit heat.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  The Heat Advisory remains in effect for Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska through Monday. Temperatures above 100 degrees and heat index values in the mid 100s are forecast during the afternoon hours each day. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events.
