Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY…

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…

Near record high temperatures in the 70s, breezy southwest winds,
and low relative humidity values will result in dangerous fire
weather conditions over the majority of the Tri-State area Sunday
afternoon, particularly in Eastern Colorado and extreme Western
Kansas, or along and west of Kansas Highway 25.

An abrupt transition to colder temperatures is expected Sunday night
into Monday. Light accumulating snow and below zero wind chill
values will occur Monday night into Tuesday. However the coldest wind
chills will occur Wednesday morning, falling to 10 below zero for
colder for the west half of the Tri-State Area.
