YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Widely scattered thunderstorms through the overnight hours will be capable of producing locally gusty winds of up to 60 mph and pea size hail.  Scattered thunderstorms will develop between 2 PM and 4 PM MT this afternoon in the vicinity of the Kansas and Colorado border and move northeast through this evening. The primary hazard from stronger storms will be damaging wind gusts of 70 mph or higher along with blowing dust. A few instances of large hail will also be possible, mainly in the afternoon with discrete storms before they merge into clusters by this evening. The severe threat should end by midnight tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening. Storms are expected to develop near the Front Range in the afternoon and approach the Kansas border area by late in the afternoon through the early evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the main hazard, with a few storms capable of hail.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
