YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in northeast Colorado until 9 PM MT this evening.  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, mainly for Eastern Colorado and south of Interstate 70 in northwest Kansas. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move into Colorado between 5 and 9 PM MT, and possibly into areas south of Interstate 70 in northwest Kansas between 7 PM and midnight MT. Large hail up to golf ball size and wind gusts around 60 mph are the potential hazards. Severe storms may be able to cause damage to life and property.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  There is a marginal risk for a severe thunderstorm or two Saturday afternoon and early evening north of Highway 34 from Yuma, Colorado, to McCook, Nebraska. If storms develop, large hail and damaging winds are the expected hazards.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
