YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Watch summary:  - A Tornado Watch is in effect for areas north of Interstate and   along and west of Highway 83 in northwest Kansas and southwest   Nebraska through 10 PM CT this evening.  - A Tornado Watch is in effect for northeast Colorado and adjacent   counties of northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska through 9 PM   MT/10 PM CT.  - A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for areas north of Interstate 70   and along and west of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas and southwest   Nebraska through 9 PM MT/10 PM CT this evening.  Thunderstorms north of Interstate 70 in Kansas and Nebraska will continue to develop through the afternoon, with another round of storms moving into eastern Colorado by 6 PM and continuing through this evening. A few supercells will be possible this afternoon and early evening, capable of producing hail golf ball size or larger, damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or higher, blowing dust, and a tornado or two. Flash flooding is also possible with the storms north of Interstate 70 in Kansas and Nebraska. Impacts include but are not limited to wind driven hail which can damage windows and roofs and quickly developing tornadoes which will shorten the time you have to seek shelter.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Severe storms are also possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. Scattered storms are expected by mid afternoon and continuing through early evening. The main hazard on Tuesday will be damaging wind gusts of up to 75 mph. Winds of this magnitude may produce blowing dust and dust storms which can lower visibility and cause hazardous driving conditions.  Critical fire weather conditions are possible Tuesday afternoon and early evening with a Fire Weather Watch in effect for northeast Colorado and adjacent counties of northwest Kansas. Low humidity, gusty southwest winds and dry fuels will combine to produce dangerous and unpredictable fire weather behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
