YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Scattered thunderstorms will develop after 3 PM MT along and east of Highway 83 in Kansas and Nebraska, with additional storms moving into Colorado and the Tri Border area after 6 PM MT. The main hazards with these storms will be damaging winds of up to 70 mph and blowing dust, but an isolated stronger storm is possible along and east of Highway 83 that could produce hail up to half dollar size. Storms will weaken after 9 PM MT but could still produce gusty winds, then ending by midnight MT. Potential impacts include but are not limited to hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility in blowing dust.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms on Thursday in the entire area. Storms will develop along the Colorado Front Range in the afternoon and approach the Kansas border between 6 and 9 PM MT before continuing east through the remainder of the area in the evening. Damaging winds and blowing dust will be the main hazards, but an isolated stronger storm capable of producing large hail may be possible in the early evening.  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening. A cold front may be situated in the area which would be favorable for thunderstorm development.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
