YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Rain will transition to wet snow across portions of the area late this evening and early Wednesday morning, mainly in eastern Colorado and nearby Kansas border counties, or along and west of Highway 27, where temperatures will hover around or just above the freezing mark and several inches of heavy wet snow accumulation is possible. Reductions in visibility (below 1 mile) and melting snow/slush on roads could lead to locally hazardous driving conditions despite warm ground temperatures and light easterly winds.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Wet snow in eastern Colorado and nearby Kansas border counties will transition back to rain during the late morning to early afternoon on Wednesday.  A Freeze Watch remains in effect Wednesday night into Thursday morning for most of the Tri-State area. Below freezing temperatures could kill or damage crops and other sensitive vegetation.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
