YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Scattered thunderstorms will develop between 2 and 4 PM MDT this afternoon in northeast Colorado and adjacent areas of northwest Kansas. Storms will then move east across the area through this evening, some severe, ending by midnight MDT. The highest confidence for severe storms is in northeast Colorado and south of Interstate 70 in northwest Kansas, where a few supercells capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts and tornadoes will be possible. Blowing dust and localized dust storms may also develop near any thunderstorm. Impacts include but are not limited to the threat of injury from falling hail, broken tree limbs leading to power outages, tornadoes with only a short time to seek shelter, and low visibility in plumes of blowing dust.  Patchy fog is possible overnight. Hazardous travel will be possible due to visibility reduced to less than one mile at times.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather across portions of the Tri-State Area is anticipated. Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
