A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of northwest Kansas today, mainly south and east of Goodland where warm temperatures, low humidity in the single digits to low teens and southwest winds gusting to 35 mph may lead to rapid wildfire growth this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Tuesday for Cheyenne county Colorado along with Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley and Wichita counties. Southwest winds gusting to 40 mph and humidity in the low to mid teens could lead to rapid fire growth. There is a 30 percent chance for multiple hours of critical fire weather conditions across Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties on Thursday with very low humidity in the single digits and wind gusts around 30 mph.
