This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
Dense freezing fog will affect portions of northwest Kansas this
morning, mainly along Interstate 70 from Kanorado to Quinter and
along Highway 83 from Oakley to McCook. Visibilities are anticipated
to improve by noon.
Periods of snow will affect the Tri-State area today. One to two
inches of snow accumulation will be possible in Yuma county Colorado
and in Gove and Graham counties in northwest Kansas. Elsewhere,
expect less than one inch of snow accumulation. Precipitation will
end from northwest to southeast this afternoon and evening. Wind
chill readings as low as -5 degrees are expected tonight as
temperatures fall into the single digits amidst breezy north winds.
