.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire Tri State
region starting this evening. A mix of rain, freezing rain and snow
will occur and negatively affect travel conditions over the area.
Areas of dense freezing fog may develop overnight tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for much of the weekend.
Rain, freezing rain and snow will occur and negatively affect travel
conditions over the area early Saturday. In addition, areas of dense
freezing fog will be possible through Saturday morning.
A transition from rain/freezing rain to all snow will occur through
the day Saturday. As the storm passes, winds will shift out of the
north and may gust to 40 mph at times, creating the potential for
blowing snow and reduced visibility.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation will not be needed, but reports of icing,
snowfall, and rainfall will be greatly appreciated.
