YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect for the entire Tri-State area. Wind chill readings down to as low as 25 to 35 below will occur again tonight through Thursday morning. This will lead to an increased potential of rapid onset of hypothermia not only in humans but livestock and pets as well. Frostbite may occur in 30 minutes or less.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect through Thursday morning for the entire Tri-State area. Wind chill readings will remain as low as 35 below zero, leading to an increased potential of rapid onset of hypothermia not only in humans but livestock and pets as well. Frostbite may occur in 30 minutes or less.  Wind chills of 10 to 20 below will occur Thursday afternoon through Friday morning for the entire Tri State area. Light snow of less than a half inch will also be possible during that time. This could bring about frostbite concerns as well as slick roads and reduced visibility for area travelers.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
