YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  An Arctic airmass will surge southward into the Central Plains tonight into Saturday. A short period of snow is possible late this evening and early Saturday morning. Little, if any, snow accumulation is expected. Wind chill readings as low as 5 to 15 degrees below zero are expected by sunrise Saturday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  Wind chill readings ranging from 5 to 15 degrees below zero are expected Saturday evening through Sunday morning.  Another Arctic airmass will surge southward into the Central Plains early next week and persist through at least mid week. Light to moderate snow is possible Monday night and Tuesday. Dangerously cold wind chill readings are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
