northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…
Elevated fire weather conditions are expected today with the
greatest area of concern being along and west of Highway 27.
Conditions will be abnormally dry with relative humidity values down
to the low to mid teens. However, winds will be relatively light
today topping out at around 15 MPH or so. Other than these minor
fire weather concerns, mostly quiet weather is expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…
Freezing fog may occur over most of the Tri-State Area the night of
Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. If freezing fog does occur, it
may create slick surfaces on bridges and overpasses.
