Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the entire Tri-
State area this afternoon, mainly for patchy freezing drizzle,
freezing fog, and blowing snow. Temperatures will gradually rise
above freezing from south to north late this afternoon and evening.

Areas of dense fog are expected across the entire Tri-State area
this evening through tonight. Overnight temperatures are expected to
remain at or above freezing in most locations, except perhaps in
northeast Colorado, where freezing fog will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY…

Strong southerly winds will develop in eastern Colorado and extreme
western Kansas late Friday afternoon and evening. Southerly wind
gusts as high as 50 to 60 mph will be possible, mainly west of
Highway 25.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the entire Tri-State area on
Saturday. Wind gusts as high as 65 to 75 mph will be possible.

Spotter activation will not be needed.
