Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the entire Tri-State
area through this afternoon. Temperatures will gradually rise above
freezing from south to north this afternoon and evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY…

Strong southerly winds will develop in eastern Colorado and extreme
western Kansas late Friday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts as high
as 50 to 60 mph will be possible, mainly west of Highway 25.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the Tri-State area on Saturday.
Wind gusts as high as 65 to 75 mph will be possible, particularly
during the late morning and afternoon hours.

In addition to strong winds Saturday, near critical fire weather
conditions will be possible, particularly in Greeley and Wichita
counties in Kansas.

Spotter activation will not be needed.
