Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect on Tuesday for areas along and
north of Interstate 70.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect on Tuesday for areas south of
Interstate 70.

Snow has developed over the Tri State area early this morning. Snow
intensity will increase after sunrise, continuing through sunset.
Gusty winds will create the potential for blowing snow which will
reduce visibility.

Dangerous travel conditions associated with heavy snow and near
blizzard conditions are expected by late Tuesday morning through
the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY…

Fresh snow, clearing skies and decreasing winds will allow for
Wednesday morning temperatures to plummet. Expected wind chill
values will range from the single digits above zero to around ten below
zero.

Thursday, mixed precipitation is possible in the morning including
freezing rain. This may create a few slick spots on area roadways.

Saturday, Northwest winds gusting to 50 mph are expected at this
time. There is a potential for higher gusts.

Spotter activation may be required. Please send any snowfall reports
to the National Weather Service.
