Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TONIGHT…

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Yuma county in Colorado,
Dundy and Hitchcock counties in Nebraska, as well as Cheyenne and
Rawlins counties in Kansas. It is in effect from Monday evening
into Tuesday.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Kit Carson county in Colorado,
Red Willow county in Nebraska, along with Sherman, Thomas, Decatur
and Norton counties in Kansas. It is in effect from Monday evening
into Tuesday.

A quick moving storm system will impact the Central High Plains
Monday night into Tuesday. Rain is expected to quickly change over
to snow as temperatures fall into the 20s Monday night. Snow is
expected to impact travel across the Tri-State area Monday night
through Tuesday. Accumulations of over 6 inches of snow are possible
north of Interstate 70 and west of US Highway 83. Winds will be
breezy with gusts up to 45 mph on Tuesday, which could cause
additional travel concerns, which may include patchy blowing snow.

information and expected snow amounts.
