.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY…
Elevated fire weather conditions are expected along and west of the
Colorado and Kansas border area Sunday afternoon.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Monday afternoon through
Tuesday morning. The Watch is currently in effect for Yuma county in
Colorado, Dundy county in Nebraska and Cheyenne county in Kansas. A
fast moving storm system will move through the Central High Plains
Monday night through Tuesday. Rain will change to snow Monday night.
Accumulating snow and breezy winds are likely to impact travel Monday
night and Tuesday. While snowfall amounts are still in question,
they will generally increase to the northwest. The areal coverage of
the current Watch may increase and will be dependent on the storm
track. Stay tuned.
