Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for northeast Colorado, southwest
Nebraska and portions of northwest Kansas. It will be in effect from
11am to 4pm MST or Noon to 5pm CST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…

A period of light wintry precipitation will be possible in the wake
of a cold frontal passage Sunday night and early Monday morning.
Precipitation will be light in nature. Northeast winds of 15 to 25
mph with higher gusts will be occurring at the time of snowfall
producing some local reductions in visibility. Regardless of
precipitation type, hazardous travel conditions will be the primary
impact.

Wind chill readings for Sunday night into Monday morning, and again
Monday night will be in the single numbers above zero.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed.
