YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Snow cover persists across portions of the area, mainly along and north of Interstate 70. Any snow melt on sidewalks, parking lots and area roads will quickly turn into ice with temperatures below freezing. Drivers are urged to exercise additional caution for the morning commute to work or school.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  A few hours of near critical fire weather conditions are forecast during the late morning and afternoon hours on Wednesday, mainly in eastern Colorado as southerly winds gusts 25-30 mph.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
