YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon for locations generally along and west of Highway 27. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the entire Tri State region Thursday night through Saturday night. Snowfall amounts are currently forecasted to range from 4 to 6 inches, with some localized amounts near 8 inches possible. Blowing and drifting snow are not expected at this time.  Wind chill readings Thursday night are forecast to be in the single digits above zero with single digits above and below zero Friday night. Wind chill readings in the single digits below zero are forecast Saturday night and Sunday night.  Those with travel plans are encouraged to monitor the forecast as adverse road conditions are possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
