YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Patchy to dense fog and low stratus will affect portions of the area overnight, mainly in Yuma County, Colorado, Northwest Kansas, and Southwest Nebraska. Visibility may rapidly fluctuate over short distances. Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise additional caution.  Breezy north-northwest to northerly winds gusting up to 55 mph are possible through tonight.  Brief periods of blowing snow, should rain transition to snow, are possible along and west of a Stratton, Colorado to Kit Carson, Colorado line. This does includes portions of Interstate 70 in western Kit Carson county.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Colder temperatures and a chance for accumulating snow arrives post Thanksgiving. Wind chill readings may fall into the single digits above and below zero during the early morning hours on both Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not currently anticipated.
