Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT…

Moderate to heavy snowfall is anticipated across the Tri-State area
today and tonight. Snow amounts of 8 to 10 inches are forecast in
Yuma and Kit Carson Counties in Colorado, with amounts of 3 to 7
inches forecast across the remainder of the region. Snow covered
roads, patchy blowing snow, and reduced visibilities will lead to
hazardous travel conditions, especially tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY…

Snow is anticipated to continue into Wednesday morning, gradually
exiting the region to the east through the afternoon. Snow covered
roads and limited visibilities will cause travel difficulties.
Conditions will being to improve late Wednesday afternoon into the
evening as snow ends.

Wind chill values are forecast to be in the negative teens to near
zero across our area late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
