Strong northwest winds will persist across portions of the Tri-State
area today, mainly north of Interstate 70 and east of Highway 83,
where sustained winds as high as 30 to 40 mph and gusts as high as
55 mph will remain possible through early to mid afternoon.
Near critical fire weather conditions are expected across much of
the Tri-State area this afternoon.
