The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning and
remains in effect for portions of the Tri-State area Sunday
afternoon, primarily south of Interstate 70.
Strong west to northwest winds and a dry airmass will result in
hazardous fire weather conditions across the majority of the region
on Sunday. Critical fire weather conditions are anticipated across
portions of the Tri-State area Sunday afternoon, mainly along and
south of Interstate 70 in eastern Colorado and extreme western
Kansas. Hazardous fire weather conditions may persist into Monday.
