YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for the entire Tri State area through 7 pm MDT/8 pm CDT. You can expect hail up to two inches in diameter and wind gusts up to 70 MPH with the strongest storms. An isolated tornado or two is also possible.  A Flood Watch for potential Flash Flooding remains in effect for the entire Tri State region this afternoon and tonight. Locally heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible, and will impact all primary and secondary roadways.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Thunderstorms may form Tuesday afternoon and evening over the Tri- State Area as a strong cold front moves through.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will be needed. Please send any severe or flooding reports to the National Weather Service in Goodland via phone or social media. Please do so safely.
