This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast east of Kansas Highway 25 through sunrise. The primary hazards include hail up to the size of golfballs and torrential rainfall which may produce flash flooding. Fog has developed west of Highway 25 and is expected to persist through mid morning. Locally dense fog is possible especially across east Colorado; this does include Interstate 70 in Kit Carson County Colorado. A Flood Watch has been issued for eastern Colorado along with portions of west Kansas through Thursday morning as multiple rounds of thunderstorms are anticipated. Isolated severe storms are possible during the mid afternoon and through the evening across the area with hail up to 2 inches, wind gusts up to 70 mph and torrential rainfall the primary hazards. An additional large area of thunderstorms moves into the area from east Colorado with damaging winds and torrential rainfall the primary hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Heavy to torrential rain will end through the morning hours Thursday as the Flood Watch remains in effect. More rounds of storms are expected Thursday evening, and Friday across the area. Severe storms are possible with the potential for large hail, damaging wind. Torrential rainfall will also accompany any storm leading to the continued risk for flash flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening.
