.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
A Freeze Warning is in effect for a portion of the region today as
temperatures are expected to drop below freezing. Strong northwest
winds gusting to near 50 mph will produce wind chill values between
10 and 20 degrees. There may also be localized light freezing rain or
drizzle as temperatures drop below freezing and the light rain
eventually changes over to light snow. Very little in the way of
accumulating precipitation is expected as this system moves through.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY…
Below freezing temperatures are expected across the entire forecast
area Thursday evening through Friday morning. A Freeze Warning has
been issued for the entire area in anticipation of a widespread hard
freeze with record or near record low temperatures in the teens
possible. Wind chills of -5 to 15 degrees are possible across the
area with winds gusting between 20 and 30 mph.
