YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Severe thunderstorms will be possible through about midnight. The area of concern is generally along and north of Kansas Highway 40. Should severe thunderstorms develop, the primary hazards include hail up to two inches in diameter, wind gusts up to 70 mph and a few tornadoes. Heavy rainfall is also possible and could create flash flooding.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening, along and west of Highway 25 with a Marginal Risk east of Highway 25. In the slight risk area, large hail, damaging winds and perhaps a few tornadoes will be possible. In the marginal risk area, there will be a more isolated risk for large hail and damaging winds.  On Thursday, there is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for nearly the entire Tri-State area. Large hail, damaging winds, possibly a few tornadoes and locally heavy rainfall will all be possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will be needed if thunderstorms develop.
